I look forward to sharing my Yoga practice with you!

As with most journeys, my path to Yoga did not come via a direct route. I used to “dabble” with Yoga either practicing at home or taking an occasional class simply because I enjoyed the practice. I found it to be both challenging and rewarding. As most people, in the beginning I struggled with self-limiting thoughts of “I’m not flexible and graceful enough for Yoga.” But I have since learned that Yoga is not only about the physical. After I became a psychologist and started working in the field, I realized that Yoga had so much more to offer. Various research studies have shown that Yoga can benefit both body and mind. The physical exercises (Asanas) can produce greater flexibility, coordination, and strength, while the breathing practices and meditation help to calm and focus the mind in order to develop greater awareness, diminish anxiety, and improve emotional wellbeing. Other benefits include reduction of distress, blood pressure, and improvements in resilience, and metabolic regulation.  In essence, Yoga can improve quality of life. So I decided to begin my journey as a Yoga instructor so I can offer this wonderful experience to my clients as well. I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Infinity Yoga in Atlanta, Georgia.
